Home Inspection Decoded

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what homeinspectiondecoded.com collects, why, who we share it with, and how to get it deleted. The service is operated by Foundation Operations LLC, a Florida limited liability company. We collect as little as the service needs, and we delete it on a clock.

1. What we collect

We collect only what is needed to produce and deliver your report:

  • Your email address — so we can send your report link and support replies.
  • Your ZIP code (optional) — used only to adjust repair cost ranges for your region.
  • Optional purchase details you choose to enter, such as purchase price and closing deadline — used only to tailor the report.
  • The document you upload — your home inspection report, and the findings extracted from it.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We receive a confirmation, the amount, and a transaction reference. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Basic technical data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, kept for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

2. Why we process it, and nothing more

We use this information only to produce your decoded report, deliver it to you, answer support requests about it, process payments and refunds, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not use your document or your email address to build advertising profiles, and we do not use them to train artificial intelligence models. We do not send marketing email you did not ask for.

3. Service providers we share it with

We use a small set of service providers (sub-processors) to run the service. Each receives only what it needs, and each is bound to use it only to provide its service to us:

  • Vercel — website and application hosting.
  • Supabase — database storing your email, report metadata, and extracted findings.
  • Cloudflare — file storage for uploaded documents, plus content delivery and security.
  • Stripe — payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see card numbers.
  • Anthropic — automated analysis of your uploaded document to generate the report.
  • Resend — delivery of transactional email (your report link, receipts, support replies).
  • Google — advertising and conversion measurement on our website. Google does not receive your uploaded document or its contents.

We may also disclose information if legally required — for example in response to a valid subpoena or court order — or to protect our rights, our users, or the public. If our business is ever sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction, and this policy continues to apply to it.

4. Advertising and conversion measurement

We advertise on Google. Our website includes Google Ads conversion tracking (a tag or pixel) that fires on key steps such as a completed purchase, so we can measure which ads produce customers. What is shared is the fact that a conversion happened and basic ad-click identifiers — never your uploaded document, its contents, or your report.

Google may set or read cookies on our site for this purpose. You can control or opt out of personalized Google advertising in Google's own settings, linked below, and most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking these cookies does not affect your ability to buy or receive a report.

5. How long we keep it

Your uploaded document, the findings extracted from it, and your generated report are automatically deleted 30 days after upload. After that, the report link stops working — save or print your report if you want to keep it.

We keep a minimal billing record (email address, amount, date, transaction reference) for as long as tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations require. Technical logs are kept for a short period and then rotated out.

6. We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not rent, trade, or hand your document to data brokers. Ever. There is no version of this service where your home inspection report becomes someone else's marketing list.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our service providers, report links use unguessable tokens, and access to production systems is limited to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we hold as little as possible for as short a time as possible, which is the strongest protection available.

8. Your rights and choices

Whatever state or country you are in, you can ask us to: confirm what we hold about you, send you a copy, correct it, or delete it. Deletion on demand is available at any time — you do not have to wait for the 30-day clock.

Email support@homeinspectiondecoded.com from the address you used, and we will respond within 30 days. We will never charge you or degrade the service for exercising these rights. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to your state attorney general or data protection authority.

9. Children

This service is for adults involved in a home purchase and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold, we will email the address associated with your purchase before it takes effect.
